ABOUT DR. BENTCH

A different kind of mental health care

I’m a naturopathic doctor practicing integrative primary care in Vermont. My work in primary care—and my own mental health journey—led me to focus on expanding access to thoughtful, integrative mental health care.

My Story

I graduated from National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2021 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. After completing my residency, I began practicing integrative primary care in Vermont.

Through my work in primary care, I quickly saw how many people struggle to access meaningful mental health support and how limited many treatment options can feel. Both this experience and my own personal journey with mental health and wellness inspired me to pursue additional training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) in Colorado, where I completed an Integrative Psychiatric Fellowship in 2024.

Along the way, I have also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based strategies, breath work, and the mind–gut connection.

My Approach

I believe mental health care works best when it’s collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. My approach combines conventional tools like medication when appropriate with integrative supports such as targeted supplements, herbal medicine, lifestyle changes, and therapeutic techniques.

Together, we work to understand the root causes of symptoms and build sustainable strategies for feeling better.
